Risa Aratyr
Risa Aratyr, a direct student of Kuo Lien Ying, began her studies in Guang Ping Yang Tai Chi Chu’an, Shao Lin Chuan, and Universal Post with Sifu Kuo in the 1970s.
In 2001 Risa reconnected with her kung fu roots under the guidance of Masters Donald and Cheryl Lynne Rubbo, and she "awakened to the true power, beauty, and benefit of these rare and wonderful martial/healing arts."
In between, Risa had learned two “soft” Tai Chi forms, practiced fencing, pursued her passions for music and dance, published a fantasy novel, married, and raised two children.
Risa Aratyr is an author in the Fantasy and Science Fiction genres (her popular book Hunter of the Light is available on Amazon.com), an Equity stage manager and a Theatre Arts instructor at Santa Rosa Junior College.
Risa Aratyr teaches in Santa Rosa, California.
